Are children allowed in the library?

Yes. However, children under the age of 14 should be supervised by an adult.

How do I report a disruption in the library?

At Henderson Library, visit the Circulation Desk on the 2nd floor. At Lane Library, visit the Circulation Desk on the 1st floor.

Is there a public phone in the library?

No. However you may ask the Circulation Desk at Henderson Library or the Circulation Desk at Lane Library if you can make a short phone call.

When prompted, use your MyGS username and password using the library’s EZProxy Login form. When the form appears, enter your MyGS username and password and click Login. Do not include “@georgiasouthern.edu” in the username field.

When searching Discover @ Georgia Southern from off-campus, please be sure to click on “Click Here To Log In” in the yellow bar that appears at the top of the screen when Discover first opens. Failure to log into Discover will result in some full text links failing without the opportunity to log in later.

What library privileges do East Georgia College Students have?
  • East Georgia at Georgia Southern (EGGS) students are eligible for borrowing books for 28 days and have no limits on how many they can check out. This is the same as for Georgia Southern students.
  • Printing for EGGS students is also the same as it is for Georgia Southern students.
  • EGGS students are eligible for GIL Express, but they must use their East Georgia ID numbers, not their East Georgia at Georgia Southern IDs. These should begin with the numbers 930. When making GIL Express requests, they should change the pick up location to Georgia Southern.
  • When making requests for materials in automated storage (ARC), East Georgia at Georgia Southern students must use their EGGS IDs.
  • EGGS students may use the Georgia Southern GALILEO resources by using their MyGeorgiaSouthern username and password.
  • East Georgia at Georgia Southern are eligible to use the interlibrary loan service.
