Dungeons and Dragons at the University Libraries; In Savannah and Statesboro

Dungeons and Dragons has arrived at the University Libraries! Join our veteran Dungeon Masters at Three Trees Coffee in Henderson Library or the Learning Commons on the Armstrong Campus to play a series of one-shot adventures set in the Forgotten Realms’ legendary library, Candlekeep! You can register to play using our online sign-up form. Game dates and times will be determined based on staff and player availability.  Don’t forget to stop by Henderson Library Access Services or the Learning Commons to learn more about the Candlekeep Mysteries adventure, and to check out Dungeons and Dragons campaign guides, rule books, dice sets, and more!


Art Exhibit at the Learning Commons: Mixed media works by Sydney Almand, April 4-22, 2022

Now on view at the Learning Commons: Mixed media artworks by Art Education major Sydney Almand, Class of 2022. Sydney’s senior exhibition contains a variety of pieces created over her years at Georgia Southern, including soft sculptures, ceramics, paintings, and prints. On view through Friday, April 22nd.

Art Exhibit at the Learning Commons: We Are All We Have Tonight, March 1-25, 2022

From March 1 to 25, 2022, the photography exhibit “We Are All We Have Tonight: Portraits from the Lawrence, Kansas Punk Scene”. Photographs by Chris Ortiz, Professor of Art, Cottey College is on display in the Learning Commons on the Armstrong Campus.

Clothesline Project at the Libraries Feb. 18-25, 2022

On Friday, February 18th-Friday February 25th, Georgia Southern Libraries will play host to The Clothesline Project, sponsored by the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART), as a part of Sexual Assault Awareness Week. This is a campus-wide display of t-shirts created to raise awareness about sexual violence and can provide a visual depiction of the rates of sexual violence perpetration. T-shirts can be made by survivors and supporters of survivors of sexual and domestic violence, and visitors will have the opportunity to create their own t-shirts, which will be saved to be a part of displays in future years.

Displays will be set up in all three of the Georgia Southern Libraries locations: Henderson Library on the Statesboro campus, Lane Library on the Armstrong campus and the Learning Commons on the Armstrong campus.
