Academic Program Review Resources
As of January 2018, the Georgia Southern University Libraries officially support over 325 subscription and open-access databases, over 200 of which are provided through partnership with GALILEO. All supported databases are included on the University Libraries’ comprehensive A-Z Database List, available at http://georgiasouthern.libguides.com/az.php. This list includes all databases funded by GALILEO, the Georgia Southern University Libraries, or the University Libraries’ campus partners.
Together, the University Libraries and GALILEO provide access to many information resources, including secured access to licensed databases indexing thousands of periodicals and scholarly journals. Over 95,000 of these titles include full or partial full text. Other resources include electronic books, encyclopedias, business directories, and government documents.
To view a complete list of supported databases related to a specific subject area, select the “All Subjects” drop-down at the top of the University Libraries’ A-Z Database List. To view a complete list of databases available through GALILEO, select the “Databases A-Z” link on the GALILEO Scholar homepage.
A-to-Z Journal Title List
The University Libraries’ A-Z Journal Title List provides access to journal content available through GALILEO and the University Libraries’ officially supported subscription and open-access databases. Database providers frequently add and remove titles and full text available through these databases. The A-Z Journal Title List is continually updated to reflect these changes.
- To search for a specific journal title, type the title into the first search field and click “Search”.
- To view titles for a subject area, select the “Any” dropdown to the left of the first search field, change this to “in subject,” type a subject keyword into the first search field, and click “Search”.
