GIL Express Service Disruption
Lane Library on the Armstrong campus in Savannah will be closed from December 20 – January 15 while the interior of the building is painted. Staff will have no access to the stacks or their desks during this time. This will affect both GIL Express and Interlibrary Loan.
GIL Express will not be offered at Lane Library during this period. If patrons are in dire need of research materials, they can request books be sent to Henderson Library in Statesboro and pick them up there. Books can also be returned to Henderson during the closure.
ILL personnel will not be able to order physical items during this period. We will continue to order articles since those are delivered electronically. We will order articles and process renewal requests until December 22nd, and resume on January 2nd.
We apologize for the short notice, and look forward to providing full services to all patrons beginning on January 16, 2024.
