Monday, April 4: Connect With Your Library

  • Campaign:    “Did You Know…?”
  • Guerilla-style trivia asked live on social media and on the street 
  • Prizes: Stickers, bookmarks, pens, and other GSU swag

4:00 PM – 5:00PM       Burning Swamp poetry slam (Henderson Library)

  • Theme:    “I Believe…”
  • As part of National Poetry Month, we are partnering with Professor Drevlow and Burning Swamp for an outdoor poetry slam! To celebrate the concurrent “I Believe Week,” the theme of the event is “I Believe…”

            Mini-library information tables in Russell Union and college lobbies

            Informational pamphlets, QR codes to quick links and free books, etc.

  • Discover ways to take action on campus, as we invite groups like the Office of Multicultural Affairs, Boro Pride, Hillel of GSU and more, located on the 2nd Floor of Henderson, next to the Zine Workshop

4:00 PM –  5:30 PM      GS Author’s Lounge: Opening Reception (Henderson Library)

  • Located on the 3rd floor at Henderson Library, the Authors Lounge will officially introduce a permanent, physical collection of books, articles, CDs, and DVDs recognizing GS faculty, staff, students, and alumni for their scholarship and creative work.

Friday, April 8            Technology/Multimedia Day of Play

  • Join us for a sneak-peek at archived footage from Special Collections, as we utilize our projector and screen, both available for checkout

2:00 PM – 5:00 PM       Brain Booth “Beat the Burnout” Party (Henderson and Lane Library)       

  • Discover ways you can unwind with games, activities and equipment that promote personal wellness, mindfulness and relaxation

2:00 PM – 5:00 PM       Tabletop Game Tournament (Henderson Library)       

  • Choose your favorite tabletop game and challenge your friends!
  • Located in the Brain Booth area on the 2nd Floor
