Exhibits Celebrate Native American Heritage Month
The Georgia Southern University Libraries are celebrating Native American Heritage Month with exhibits now on display at Lane Library (Armstrong Campus), and Zach S. Henderson Library (Statesboro Campus.)
Students and staff are invited to view, enjoy, and sign the visitor’s log.
Native American Heritage Month, commonly referred to as American Indian and Alaska Native Heritage Month, is celebrated to commemorate, celebrate and acknowledge the diverse cultures, histories, and traditions of the Indigenous peoples of America and their invaluable contributions to the world over.
The exhibits will be available throughout November. Some items including the maps on display belong to the Coates Family Collection on loan by the Zach S. Henderson Library Special Collections.
