Henderson Library Participates in 100K Thank Yous

Help Zach S. Henderson library thank our heroes this November. The library is providing materials in the Makerspace for you to create a letter and/or card which will be sent to our troops overseas via a Nashville-based radio station as part of their 100K Thank Yous initiative. Some materials will be left out on the Makerspace tables. If you need additional tools (scissors, markers, rulers, etc.) we encourage you to ask for a Makerspace kit, always available at the check-out desk, on the 2nd floor of Henderson Library.

If you would like to provide a card or letter electronically, or if you have any questions about this project please send them to: learningcommons@georgiasouthern.edu.

In the Makerspace (or wherever you like):

  • Design your Thank You card.
  • Write a message.
    • Examples of simple salutations: “Dear Service Member,” or “Dear Hero”
  • Tips:
    • Express thanks for their selfless service, sacrifices & dedication.
    • Avoid politics and religion.
    • Encourage or be inspirational.
  • Place the card in the basket in the Makerspace by end of day November 17th.
