Makerspace gives students space to take ideas and turn them into reality.
Zach S. Henderson Library is pleased to announce the addition of a Makerspace on the 2nd floor of the Library. The Makerspace gives students space to take ideas and turn them into reality. The Makerspace currently has three tables available to students to work on projects such as posters, brochures, and dioramas. In addition, students can check out kits from Access Services with supplies to help them with their projects. Each kit will contain a ruler, glue, scissors, and sharpies.
Phase One of the Makerspace was funded by the Friends of the Library, who wanted to provide students with a space that would allow them the opportunity to express their creativity. Their generosity provided the tables and the signage on the second floor of the Library.
The Library welcomes feedback to help determine future directions of the Makerspace. During the spring semester, users will be surveyed to help us determine possible services and resources for this new Library space.
