National Poetry Month
There is a new exhibit for National Poetry Month on display in the Library, entitled “How to Create Poems.” It includes books from the library’s collection on how to compose poems, or on the experience of being a poet. Each book is paired with a poem by the author or by someone featured in, the book. The exhibit is on the blue board on the second floor, between the Circulation Desk and the photocopiers.
Georgia Southerners are invited to share their own poems, which will also be posted in a library display. The poems must be in a suitable format to be immediately put on a bulletin board (We will not retype them.). The author retains the copyright, which means that displaying a poem here will be no impediment to getting it published elsewhere, and that, should it be plagiarized from the display, the author has some recourse.
