Open Access: How Scholarship Is Changing

Join us in Henderson Library (room 1300 on the bottom floor) to discuss:

         ·   How the current system of scholarly publication and communication serves faculty and students poorly.

·         How the Open Access movement is working to improve the scholarly publication and communication process, and how this benefits faculty and students.

·         How you can benefit from participating in the Open Access movement.

·         What Georgia Southern faculty can do, and how Henderson Library can help.

Lisa Macklin, the Director of the Scholarly Communications Office at the Emory University Libraries, and Marlee Givens, the Georgia Knowledge Repository Manager at the Georgia Institute of Technology, will present the workshop.  This workshop will be offered twice on Wednesday, September 4, from noon to 1 and from 3:30 to 4:30.  For more information, please call 478-5115.
