SUBJECT: Library Policies
Comment: It bothers me that some people are disrespectful of others with what they do in the library. I understand that the library is not perfect, but some people take it too far. The following are a few examples:
- 1) loud music (from headphones)
- 2) pornographic material (widescreen)
- 3) ponographic sounds (from headphones)
- 4) small kids (ages 5 - 12)running around unattended on the bottom floor
RESPONSE:
Thank you for your comments. The Library has policies addressing all of the concerns you expressed. We have found that most of the issues you address are best dealt with by a regular employee instead of by a student employee. If you observe behavior you consider disrespectful, please report that behavior to the reference desk on second floor. That desk and the computer areas on first and second floor are supervised by the information services department. The regular employee at that desk should be able to assist you.
Please let me know if you have other coments or questions.
