SUBJECT: Construction Progress

What will happen to the current reading area that is on the fourth floor?  Will there be anything like that in the new edition for the second phase? 

RESPONSE:

Thank you for your question. The Lorimer Reading Room will remain where it is after the library building is renovated during phase two of construction. It will be modified because current codes require that a sprinkler system be installed in the ceiling. The east wall no longer has windows because of the addition, but renovation will provide floor to ceiling windows on the north wall.
