SUBJECT: Interior design
the color selection for the library is horible. i can\'t concentrate on my studies when the walls look like vomit or some hospital in korea
RESPONSE:
Thank you for your comment. The colors were chosen by the interior designer
who helped design the library's expansion and renovation. The colors were
chosen to compliment the sky and trees visible through the many large windows.
In the current arrangement of the library that is not clear because book
stacks block most of the views. Eventually there will not be any books on
public shelves in this portion of the library, and reasoning behind the color
scheme should be more apparent. If you still find the color scheme offensive
when the building is complete, there will be 30 group study rooms with white
walls available for your use.
