SUBJECT: GALILEO password
Comment: Is it just for fun that you change the password for GALILEO and make it impossible to get a new password during the break? You may get to have time off from work but graduate students have to work on their research even over Christmas. Thank you very much for your inconsideration of this important matter. Why not fix the request function so that we can get the new password and maybe get some work done. Thanks for nothing.
We apologize for any inconvenience that you might have encountered. Actually we do not change the GALILEO password just to make life difficult for you. We are always here to assist, and to make things more efficient and convenient for our students. We at the Henderson Library have no control over the changing of the GALILEO password. This is done through the University System and it changes at the end of each semester. Please follow the following instructions to get the password: Go to the library catalog and click on "Your Account." After you log in using your social security number, click the request button at the top of the screen to get the password. We have received complaints from patrons not being able to receive the new password after following these instructions. They normally receive the message "You have no requests available at this time." This usually means that the Assess Services Department has blocked their account for lost/overdue items, and we ask that they contact that department to clear their record. If you did not receive such a message, you should be able to receive the GALILEO password by following these instructions. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience you experienced and we thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. If we can further assist you in any way, please feel free to call.
