Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature includes Sports Medicine among its allied health professions. CINAHL covers 1,835 nursing and allied health journals and other selected biomedical journals. ProQuest Nursing and Allied Health Source from ProQuest
Includes more than 280 full-text/image journals in nursing and allied health, 1988 to the present. Sports medicine is a subject heading in this database.
MEDLINE with Full Text from EBSCOhost
Created by the National Library of Medicine, Medline is the premiere medical database. Ebsco’s version includes full text for nearly 1,200 of the 5,264 journals indexed in MEDLINE. Search results can be limited by type of research, reviews, and case reports when using the Advanced Search mode.
MEDLINE can also be searched in the NLM’s PubMed database which includes “in-process” records for articles that have not yet been entered into MEDLINE. PubMed also covers a broader range of journals, but does not provide full text articles as Ebsco access does.
Consumer Health Complete from EBSCOhost
Provides full text from many health reference books and encyclopedias and thousands of health reports as well as physician-generated videos and hundreds of medical images and diagrams. Covers all areas of health and wellness from mainstream medicine to the many perspectives of complementary, holistic, and integrated medicine such as Aging, cancer, diabetes, drugs and alcohol, fitness, nutrition and dietetics, children’s health, men and women’s health, and more.

Academic Search Complete from EBSCOhost
A scholarly, multi-disciplinary database that searches a total of 10,900 publications including 4,400 peer-reviewed journals. Full text is provided for 5,300 journals.
Merck manuals provide detailed information on virtually all disorders, complete with discussion of symptoms and current therapy. Three Merck Manuals are provided: The Merck Manual of Diagnosis and Therapy, 1999; The Home Edition providing medical information in everyday language; and The Merck Manual of Geriatrics, 2000.
