Special Collections Policies and Procedures

    Because it has the dual purpose of preserving and providing access to rare and/or unique materials, Henderson Library Special Collections has several policies and procedures which patrons need to be aware of when they request access to materials.  These policies are given below.
 

Using Special Collections
   This is a guide to using Henderson Library Special Collections. Lots of useful tips.
 

Circulation/Access Procedure
    This explains how materials may be accessed by patrons.  It is important for patrons to know this as sometimes access cannot be granted immediately.  See the Use Guide for more information.
 

Citation Guide
    This explains how Henderson Library Special Collections would like its materials to be cited in papers, articles, etc.
 

Copyright and Copying Policy
    This explains how Henderson Library Special Collections deals with copyright and preservation issues in providing copies of material to patrons.
 

Fee Schedule
    This provides information about the cost of copies for patrons, and also about research services available for a fee.
 

Mission Statement
    This is Special Collections' mission statement.  It will provide some insight into what sort of materials you might find in Special Collections.
