Research Fees
Generally, reference service excludes doing research for patrons. In
special cases, when a patron cannot visit us, research may be done at
the
rate of $10 per hour. Research is defined as the actual location and
examination
of material, by Special Collections staff, when a patron cannot specify
what is needed. Example: if a patron would like a copy of a specified
letter
from Bo Ginn to Jack Kingston, that is reference service; if, however,
the patron wanted letters to Kingston searched and copied for a given
subject
or author, without specifying the particular letter(s), that would be
research.
