Lucile Hodges Papers
Finding Aid

These materials had already been inventoried by Lucile Hodges' family when they came to us. This finding aid is basically a transcription of their inventory. The only times I deviated from their listing were when I could not specifically identify a numbered item; for example - the boxes containing WWII letters were not numbered, and there were two entries in the inventory which would fit. I listed the numbered folders and identifiable entries first, and left these until the end.

The contents of some of the files in the collection were also inventoried. These inventories have been left in the relevant file. I have also copied the front cover of each original folder and put it in the correct file, since I occasionally shortened titles or otherwise changed them.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. This file was so large I had to split it into two files. Since it contained information on several families, I listed the family names only on the folder which actually contains information.

2. This folder was unnumbered.

3. These are photographs which were loose in the collection, and which I could not firmly identify with the numbered list of pictures. While some of them are numbered, the descriptions do not coincide with the numbers on the list. Some of the descriptions on the back of the photographs coincide with descriptions on the list but have no number.
