This is the organization to get in touch with if you are interested in

all aspects of archival work, including the latest developments in the
field. The site also has an index to archival repositories in Georgia.

The University of Georgia library system has a variety of Special Collections
resources in it, inlcuding the Felix Hargrett Rare Book and Manuscript
Library and the Richard B. Russell Library for Political Research and Studies.
They have a vast amount of materials, including a marvelous collection
of Georgia maps.

This is the home of the United States National Archives. The National
Archives is responsible for the preservation of United States Government
materials of all sorts, including records of all government agencies.
Besides a place for research, this site also contains records schedules
and guidelines for Federal offices, a digital classroom, and guides to
archives and preservation resources.

National Register of Historic Places

This site contains information on the National Register of Historic Places
and the 70,000-plus sites which are on the National Register. There
are sections on traveling to locations on the National Register and using
the sites as teaching and research tools as well. If you want to
learn more about a site listed in the National Register, this is a good
place to start.
