Circulation/Access
Special Collections is beginning to undergo
some major renovations to its permanent
space in Henderson Library, and everything
will be moving out for a while. This means
that Special Collections materials and staff
be housed in two different locations within
the library. These circumstances will require
some changes in our access policy.
Special Collections materials will not be
available for immediate review when a
patron comes to Special Collections.
Patrons will gainaccess to materials
more quickly if they reserver materials
before they come to use them. We will
attempt to provide materials the same
day they are requested, but this may
not always be possible. For more
information on making advance
reservations, as well as access to the
on-line forms, please see the Special
Collections Reservation page.
Paper copies of the form will also be
available at the Circulation Desk.

Materials can leave area only if
1) Request for use in an exhibit by Georgia Southern
departments or off-campus museums.
2) Temporary loans to other repositories.
3) Requests from faculty to use original materials in a class.
These requests are subject to the approval of the Dean of the
Library or designated personnel.
