Lecture:

Many of the Henderson Library’s online information resources are restricted to Georgia Southern University’s students, faculty, and staff.  Individuals accessing these resources from an off-campus location must log into them using their My.GeorgiaSouthern username and password. Below are three (3) ways you may access the Henderson Library’s online information resources and the directions for logging in.

  1. Accessing GAILEO  from within Folio

If you are already logged into Folio with your My.GeorgiaSouthern username and password, you can click on the GALILEO (Georgia’s Virtual Library) link under My Services. You should not need to log in again.

  1. Accessing GALILEO from the Henderson Library Homepage

Go to the Henderson Library’s Homepage (http://library.georgiasouthern.edu), click on tab “GALILEO Articles/Databases”. You will be prompted to enter your My.GeorgiaSouthern.edu username and password. Once logged in, choose the database you want to search.

  1. Accessing Discover from the Henderson Library’s Homepage

The Discover Service allows researchers to search the library’s catalog, databases, and more in a single search. If you choose to use the Henderson Library’s Discover service, you can access it from the Library’s homepage at http://library.georgiasouthern.edu.

From off-campus, you will be logged in as a “guest” and will not be able to access the full array of results that you can if you log in with your Georgia Southern University credentials. To access the Discover services fully, you must log in with your My.GeorgiaSouthern username and password.
