GALILEO Databases

GALILEO provides access to many information resources, including secured access to licensed databases indexing thousands of periodicals and scholarly journals. Over 2000 journal titles are provided in full-text. Other resources include encyclopedias, business directories, and government publications.

Databases listed in GALILEO include those provided through GALILEO and those funded by Georgia Southern University.

To view a list of databases related to a specific subject area, select the appropriate subject tab and subcategory on the GALILEO homepage. To view a complete list of databases available through GALILEO, check the alphabetical list of databases (Databases A-Z).

Electronic Journals A-to-Z List

The Library’s Electronic Journal A-to-Z list provides direct access to issues of journals available through the following resources:

—Full text / full image databases available through GALILEO
—Full text / full image databases funded by Henderson Library
Database providers frequently add and drop titles available through their databases. The A-to-Z list is updated periodically to reflect these changes.

The List display defaults to the alphabetical title search.
—To view titles available in broad subject areas, click on the “subjects” tab, then on the desired subject heading.
—To search for a specific title, use the “search” tab or the search box on the “titles” tab.

Print Journal Subscriptions 2007

Henderson Library has subscribed to approximately 1300 print journals for 2007.
—Use the subscription list arranged by title to search for specific titles.
—Use the subscription list arranged by call number to identify titles in a particular subject area. Consult the Library of Congress Classification Outline to identify call number ranges for specific subjects.
