S. Henderson Library invites you to listen to our recently purchased
collection of
eAudiobooks from NetLibrary.
This collection consists of 211 complete electronic books in audio format.
Examples
include the following: Beloved by
Toni Morrison; The
City of Falling Angels by John Berendt; The
Golden Compass by Philip Pullman; The
Historian by Elizabeth Kostova; The Shame of the Nation: The
Restoration of Apartheid
Schooling in America by Jonathan Kozol; and several books in the "Learn
Before You Land" language series. These audiobooks can
be checked out for 3 weeks, and can be renewed.
Simply download the file to your computer, an MP3 player, or another
digital audio device that supports playback of secure or protected wma
files; Windows Media Player 9.0 or above is required. Note: iPods are
not compatible with these books. We recommend that you download these
books to your own computer or device, so that you will have access to
the book beyond the library building. In order to access these eAudiobooks,
individuals can register for a free account on a computer in the library,
or contact the Reference Desk (see here for
IM, e-mail,
and phone) for assistance in registering on a computer outside of the

The NetLibrary eAudiobooks can be found by clicking here,
in the GALILEO menu, or in Henderson
Library's online catalog. When searching the library catalog, just
add the keyword "audiobooks" to
find audiobooks in electronic and other formats. In addition to these,
Henderson Library also owns thousands of other e-books from NetLibrary,
all of which are accessible at http://www.netlibrary.com/,
in the GALILEO menu, or in
the online
catalog (add the keyword "netlibrary").
