The faculty and staff at Zach S. Henderson Library welcome you to Georgia Southern University.

This link, especially prepared for busy professors, will give you a quick look at pertinent library services. The "Information Services Librarians" site gives you the names and e-mail addresses of Reference Librarians who can assist you with student tours and/or classes as well as new faculty introductory sessions to our electronic and print sources. Information Services Department Liaisons are noted here to help you make the appropriate contact. If you have a question please call us or e-mail us or look at the FAQs.

The Zach S. Henderson Library collects material in all formats of recorded knowledge which are relevant to the University's curriculum. See the Library's Mission Statement for the latest statistics on the Library's holdings.

The library is committed to the full use of information technology, including the maintenance of an integrated library system. The Library will provide general access for the campus to the Internet and will assist in the use of information resources on this international network. Many worthwhile Internet sites, screened by librarians, are located under "Bookmarks." They are organized for your convenience under each College for example COE =College of Education, and by Subject Area as well. Click on the "Bookmarks" choice in the drop-down menu of the home page to find them.

An electronic resource called GALILEO is a Georgia University System wide resource that both faculty and students find useful. In addition to GALILEO, the library subscribes to other databases that are important to the research interests of faculty, graduate and undergraduate students. You will find them all alphabetically integrated into a master list (that includes both GALILEO and non GALILEO) of electronic databases under a heading entitled, "Databases A-Z." The same password is used for all databases. Click here to obtain instructions for securing the password via "Your Account" in the library catalog. Please remember that it changes each Fall and Spring semester and twice for each of the two summer sessions.
