Get the GALILEO password

Any currently employed faculty/staff or currently enrolled student of the Georgia Southern community may request the GALILEO password. It is changed each semester. There are three ways to get the GALILEO password. You can call us, look for yourself, or e-mail AskZach.  In each case, we will need to verify your current enrollment/affiliation with the university before giving you the password.

Method 1
Get the GALILEO password on your own:
  • Go to the Library Catalog
  • Click Your Account.
  • Select Georgia Southern Eagle ID in box on left under Home Institution.
  • Type your Georgia Southern Eagle ID Number (no dashes or spaces) as ID Number in box on right.
  • Type your Last Name (lower case only) and click Logon.
  • Click Request in top row next to Your Account, then click OK.
  • Make sure GALILEO Password is selected in drop box then click  OK.
  • If you are a current student, faculty, or staff, you will see the GALILEO password.
  • If you do not see the password, contact the Circulation Desk at (912) 478-5647 for assistance.
Method 2
Call Us:

Call the reference desk (912) 478-5645 and you will receive instructions on how to obtain the current password. You will be asked for your Georgia Southern Eagle ID number in order to verify your current enrollment/affiliation and then you will receive the password over the phone.

Method 3
E-mail Us:

You may fill out this email form to get the GALILEO password. Be sure to include your Georgia Southern Eagle ID number in order to verify your current enrollment/affiliation. You will receive an email with the password.
