Zach S. Henderson Library

The Information Services Department in the Zach S. Henderson Library invites nominations and applications for the position of Information Services/Learning Commons Librarian and Assistant Professor. Georgia Southern University (www.georgiasouthern.edu), a member institution of the University System of Georgia and a Carnegie Doctoral/Research University, is one of Georgia’s premier universities. A residential university serving nearly 20,000 students in fall 2010, Georgia Southern is recognized for providing all of the benefits of a major university with the feeling of a much smaller college. Founded in 1906, the University offers more than 100 campus-based and online degree programs at the baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral levels through eight colleges. In 2011, Georgia Southern was named the fourth most popular university in the country by U.S. News & World Report’s “Top 20 Most Popular Universities.” The nearly 700-acre park-like campus is located in Statesboro, a classic Main Street community near historic Savannah and Hilton Head Island.
