Phase two of the library expansion and renovation project has begun.  During this phase library services will be delivered in the expanded portion of the building while the older part undergoes asbestos abatement and renovation.  Since the new part of the building is smaller than the existing facility, some of our collections and furniture have been moved to other locations.

The move of the Government Documents Collection to Remote Storage will take place between January 28 and February 15, 2008. Documents personnel will be located in Building 803 (formerly "Nursing 1") http://www.georgiasouthern.edu/map/details.php?m=17 and available by telephone at 478-5117.

The law collection will be located on the third floor of the library until the renovation project is completed in 2008.

Public service hours for the Government Documents Collection, which is comprised of Federal and Georgia state publications, will now coincide with regular operating hours of the Henderson Library Reference Desk. Federal and state documents may be retrieved using a request form available at the Reference Desk on the 3rd floor at any time (phone number 478-5645) Monday through Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 12 a.m.; Friday 8:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.; and Sunday 12 p.m. - 8 p.m. Government publications will be retrieved in a timely manner, when requested, and items may be picked up at the Circulation Desk.
