Government Information Resources

Government Documents has moved to remote storage for the duration of the Library's renovation. The Government Documents department will be housed in Building 803 on Fair Road until completion of renovations. See more information on Government Documents during the renovation.

The Zach S. Henderson Library is a Federal Depository Library and provides local, no-fee access (for the public) to Federal government information resources.

Government Documents at Henderson Library

• Catalog of United States Government Publications - Online index to publications of Federal agencies, most of which are available through the Federal Depository Library Program; contains records from July, 1976 and is updated daily

• Federal Depository Library Program - Access to Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) resources and services, including resources about the program, depository management, the FDLP Electronic Collection, locator tools and services, processing tools, publications, and a Depository Library Directory, which provides for the identification of Federal Depository Libraries by state and area code

• GPO Access - Legislative and administrative information from the United States Government, including  Congressional Bills; Congressional Committee Hearings, Reports, and Prints; Congressional Record; Public Laws; U.S. Code; Code of Federal Regulations; Federal Register; and General Accounting Office "blue book" reports.

• Library of Congress - Includes the Library of Congress Online Catalog, collections, and research services

• Library Of Unified Information Sources (LOUIS) Beta Release - A user-friendly interface, with a powerful search engine whose ultimate goal is to create a comprehensive, completely indexed and cross-referenced depository of federal documents from the executive and legislative branches of government.

• GPO Access Federal Locator Services - Provides pathways to government information in the Federal Depository Library Program Electronic Collection and at other Federal agency sites

• Government Information Locator Service (GILS) - Guide which identifies publicly available Federal information resources, including electronic resources, describes the information in those resources, and assists in obtaining the desired resources

• STAT- USA - Federal government sources of information covering international trade data and export promotion

• Thomas - Legislative Information on the Internet - Full-text of Congressional bills, Congressional Record and index, Bill Summary and Status, Hot Legislation, the Constitution of the United States, How Our Laws Are Made, Enactment of a Law, and other House of Representatives and Senate resources

• United States Government Printing Office - Provides access to online Federal Government information products and Government Printing Office resources and services

• Browse Topics - Selected Federal agency sites arranged by subject through GPO Access

• GovTrack - GovTrack tracks the United States Congress. Follow the status of federal legislation or learn about your members of Congress by using the tools provided. Subscribe to RSS feeds to keep up with the latest activity in Congress, and to get information on all bills and votes in the last 10+ years.

• LexisNexis Congressional - Provides abstracting, indexing, and searchable access to resources of the U.S. Congress. (Commercial vendor)

• LexisNexis Statistical - Provides abstracting, indexing, and searchable access to statistical resources of federal agencies. (Commercial vendor)

• Statistical Resources - Available from the Census Bureau

• Georgia.gov - Online access to Georgia state government information resources

• Georgia Code - Official code of Georgia, current through the 2007 Session of the General Assembly; searchable by keyword or code number

• Georgia Legislature - Online resources from the Georgia General Assembly, Georgia House of Representatives and Georgia Senate; 2005-2006 Legislative Session resources, including House and Senate bills, signed and passed legislation; and state budget information

• Georgia Department of Revenue - Tax forms for the State of Georgia

• Georgia State Government - Guide to Georgia state agency information resources arranged by agency
