Function Keys and Keyboard Shortcuts
Function Keys in Voyager Cataloging
To delete a line of a bibliographic record, right-click in the gray
block to the left of the line. Select “Delete this field” from the menu
that appears.
To enter a delimiter, press F9.
To add a line above the line marked, press F3.
To add a line below the line marked, press F4.
Tab moves from cell to cell.
F8 places the cursor in the cell for editing once the cell is selected.
Voyager shortcuts for searching
Alt + R then S retrieves the same search screen as clicking the search
button.
Alt + R then B lets you search by barcode number.
Alt + R then I lets you search by Voyager ID number (type the underlined
letter of the type of record that you wish to search.)
Alt + F then O closes all records on the screen.
Alt + R then P then N (or V) opens records in your import file.
Ctrl+B saves the record to the database
Voyager shortcuts for printing records
Retrieve the record that you wish to print (bibliographic or holdings).
Press Ctrl + P. Printing an item record can be done by copying the screen
into a word processing application. (Alt + Print Screen, open Word or
WordPerfect, right click, select paste, then print) Note: When a holdings
record was printed, the information on the screen changed to bold characters.
