Getting help while the library is closed
The Zach S. Henderson Library will be closed for emergency maintenance until further notice. An update on hours of operation will be announced on the library home page as well as this page as soon as information becomes available.
Many library resources may be accessed online by visiting http://library.georgiasouthern.edu.
Librarians will be on duty in the Professional Development Center (room 3301 in the IT Building) to assist patrons with research and the use of online resources. Students may come to the PDC or contact the librarians via chat or AskZach, both at http://library.georgiasouthern.edu/ask, or by phone at 912-478-5666.
Assistance is available during these hours
- Monday – Thursday 8:00 am-10:00 pm (except July 4)
- Friday 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
- Sat 2:00 pm-10:00 pm
- Sun 2:00 pm-10:00 pm
Computers are available for students only in the Eagle Labs in the IT Building (rooms 1202 and 1204) although no color printing is available. Community users of the library are not able to user these computers.
There will be no fines or penalties for late books or other items. Books due back to the library can be returned to the outside book returns or kept until the library reopens. Cameras and other similar equipment should not be placed in the book returns but should be kept until the library reopens. Items may also be renewed online at http://gil.georgiasouthern.edu. GIL-Express is not available at this time.
