FAQs for STUDENTS |
How and when can I get access to library electronic resources? All library electronic resources are available 24-hours a day from any computer connected to the campus network. Does the library offer wireless access? Wireless is available on all floors. Can I use a laptop in the library? You can bring your personal laptop and plug it in to one of the electrical outlets scattered throughout the building. If you don’t have a laptop, you can borrow one at the circulation desk on second floor. What books are on the open shelves? High use books, books recently purchased, current periodicals, and periodicals published since 2000. Books that have been in remote storage are on the open shelves until they can be placed in the automated system. How do I get a book from the automated system? When you look up a book in the online catalog and you find that it is in the automated system, you can place the request from the computer you’re using. That will send the message to the automated system to retrieve the book, and you can pick it up from the circulation desk. The process should take less than fifteen minutes.
