The Pursuit of Knowledge: It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s … sharks chasing a school of fish?
If you look overhead in the atrium this week (April 23 – 27), you will see several sharks chasing a large school of fish in an installation by four of Marc Moulton’s art students.
As the students wrote in their prospectus, “As students, we are encouraged to actively pursue knowledge or to go “hungry” to learn; this is what the shark represents. Sharks are relentless and methodical in their quest to satisfy hunger, as we should be as students in our quest to learn or satisfy our “hunger” for knowledge. The fish represent that knowledge.”
