Playaway audiobook devices now available
We’re pleased to announce that, based on a request from a faculty member, we have an entirely new format of books for you in our library collection. We already have some audiobooks on CD (and some older ones on audiocassettes), and now we also have 11 books available on self-contained audiobook devices…tiny handheld devices called Playaways, that can be used with earbuds, or if you have an auxiliary cord, with your car stereo or your docking station. Each device includes a set of earbuds, or you can use your own.
So if you want to hear about that dragon tattoo, listen to Paulo Coelho’s brand-new novel, go on The Road with Cormac McCarthy, or learn how to let your life speak, check out our Playaways here! (And share the news with your friends.) Look for them in the Browsing Collection, across from the Circulation Desk on the 2nd floor.
We’d love to know what you think of these. And if you’d like to recommend additional Playaway books, please take a look at the selection here, and either make a comment here or send a note to firstname.lastname@example.org
