Database trials and evaluations

The Zach S. Henderson Library is sponsoring several databases for trial and evaluation.  For the complete list of all ongoing trials, please see the Databases A-Z page in GALILEO, under “T” for “trial.”

New trials include the following:

ATLA Religion Database with ATLASerials

Combines an index to journal articles, book reviews, and collections of essays in all fields of religion with the American Theological Library Association’s online collection of major religion and theology journals.

New Testament Abstracts

A research and bibliographic aid for scholars, librarians, clergy and students of the New Testament and its historical milieu.

Old Testament Abstracts

Features indexing and abstracts for journal articles, monographs, multi-author works, and software related to Old Testament studies.

Communication & Mass Media Complete

Incorporates the content of CommSearch and Mass Media Articles Index, along with numerous other journals in communication, mass media, and other closely-related fields of study.

Communications Abstracts

A comprehensive source of information about communication-related publications on a world-wide scale.

IOP Science

Includes full-text access to all Institute of Physics owned content published from 1874 to the present in the fields of physics, mathematics, engineering, chemistry and biology.

We would love to know what you think about these databases and their usefulness in support of our curriculum and/or faculty research.  Please e-mail Jonathan Harwell, Collection Development & Assessment Librarian, at or leave a comment here at Zach’s News.
