Hot Doc: Happy 150th birthday GPO!
The Government Printing Office (GPO) provides Georgia Southern with government documents from all 3 branches of government, all agencies, and all departments through the Federal Depository Library Program. Today, GPO celebrates its 150th anniversary.
June 23, 2010 marks the 150th anniversary of the day that President James Buchanan signed into law the act that established the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO). GPO is honoring this occasion with remarks by the Public Printer and the Archivist of the United States.
