New Scanners thanks to Student Technology Fee
The two new microform machines on the 2nd floor of Henderson Library can scan to your flash drive from microfilm or microfiche. One machine’s lens is better suited for reading newspaper-sized pages, and the other machine is better for journals or book-sized pages. They can also be used for printing. Please ask for assistance as needed at the Learning Commons Desk.
A new overhead book scanner is also available for public use – you’ll find it near the 2nd floor microform machines. It’s the best type of scanner for tightly bound books and fragile materials, and the quality of scan is excellent – it can even scan 3-D. It’s very easy to operate – it has a touch-screen interface. You can save to flash drive, save to D drive and e-mail to yourself, or save to K drive, then go to any workstation and select it to print.
