1. Providing a forum for interested persons to show their support for the Library and to come together periodically for library-related events.

2. Developing an awareness of the important academic role that Henderson Library plays within the University and the regional community.

3. Proposing to the Library administration projects for the organization to manage that would build support and resources for the Library's collections and services. Such projects may include events, activities, grants, and gift solicitations from individuals, corporations and foundations.

4. Encouraging others to support the Library through membership and participation in the Friends organization.
